Which is why you didn’t sign up for that class, I haven’t written a book, we give the old version of the presentation, run the same drills that we were taught, and why most of our somethings just live in our head.
Learning is essentially a constant battle with our fears and our stories. And most of the time the resistance wins.
But we can change that…
Steps to getting better at your something:
1. Have a something
2. Believe that you have the capacity to get better at that something — that skills are built, not born
3. Understand how learning works — that growth comes from struggle
4. Lean into the fear, struggle and challenges — even though your lizard brain is telling you no, that you aren’t ready, that you should start tomorrow
